Ahi Evren Chest, Heart And Vascular Surgical Education Research Hospital is located in the neighboord of Soğuksu is the only training and research hospital in the related in the region.

Our hospital has two main sections: A and B Block. The total indoor area of our institution is 21.472 m², the total outdoor area is 22.450 m². A Block is used to serve chest diseases hospital and was opened in 1956. B Block was made in 1974 and  served as a medical school for while. B Block was restored 2008  and was put into operation as a  cardiovascular surgery training and research hospital. In 2009 there two hospital merged under the name of “Trabzon Ahi Evren Chest, Heart and Vascular Surgical Education Research Hospital”.

Our institution has a capacity of 230 beds including 18 beds in the emergency department. 75 doctors work in our hospital including 2 professors, 2 associate professors, 4 senior research fellows, 49 specialist doctors and 18 resident doctors. In addition, there are 367 medical staff , 99 other staff and 238 service personel. A total of 779 staff provide tertiary healthcare services to a large region.

In our hospital on average 4000 angiographies are preformed every year and around 1500 sents are inserted every year. In 2013 a total of 483 open-heart surgeries were carried out. The annual number of outpatients is 137.374.

Trabzon Ahi Evren Chest, Heart And Vascular Surgical Education Research Hospital, provides service at full capacity in terms of medical infrastructure and equipment. Having this capacity we are able to accept both patients from the east Black Sea region and those who fall within the scope of medical tourism (from countries such as Georgia, Azerbijan and Kyrgzistan).
